Electrolux Appliance Repair in Los Angeles

Electrolux washer flashing E21? Wall oven stuck on F10? We come out and fix Electrolux all over LA: front-loaders, dryers, French-door fridges, those tall fridge and freezer columns, wall ovens, ranges, induction cooktops, dishwashers. Even the old ICON stuff. Electrolux is the parent company of Frigidaire, and if you pull the panels off you'll find plenty of the same parts in both. Handy for us, and usually for you too.
Technician running a dishwasher diagnostic in a Los Angeles kitchen
$65 diagnostic applied toward an approved repair • Clear estimate before work begins • 183-day parts and labor warranty.
Call us before 11 a.m. and same-day is often doable. Pumps, door locks, igniters, oven sensors, that kind of thing is usually somewhere in town. If a part has to ship, you hear how long before you say yes.

How We Diagnose Electrolux Appliances

Good news with Electrolux: it tells you a lot. A front-loader showing E11 took too long to fill. E21? Water's not draining fast enough. E35 is the pressure sensor saying there's too much water in there, and E41 means the board thinks the door's open even when it's shut. Dishwashers use i-codes instead: i10 for low fill, i20 for a clogged filter or a restricted drain, i30 when water's sitting in the base pan. On wall ovens you'll mostly see F10, oven too hot, or F30, the temp sensor circuit reading open.

We don't just swap whatever part the code points at. An E21 first gets the pump filter and the drain hose. An i20, the filters at the bottom of the tub. Fridges mostly stay quiet, no codes, so there we're reading temperatures, looking at where the frost is, listening to the fans. Nothing gets replaced until it fails on the meter.

Electrolux Appliances We Repair

Electrolux Refrigerator Repair

Electrolux refrigerator repair
French-door, side-by-side and counter-depth models, and the separate fridge and freezer columns that end up next to each other in bigger kitchens.

What we fix most often:
  • Fridge side warm, freezer fine
  • Ice maker slow, stopped, or knocking
  • Ice building up around the ice maker
  • Water under the crisper drawers or on the floor
  • Dispenser not giving water or ice
  • Fan noise, clicking, or a compressor that never shuts off
Some Electrolux French-doors have the ice maker up in the fresh-food section, and it's got its own little evaporator. When that one frosts up, you get less ice and a knocking sound from the ice box. Shut the fridge off for a day and it melts. Give it a month or so, and it's back.

Electrolux Washer and Dryer Repair

Electrolux washer and dryer repair
Front-loaders, stacked or on pedestals, plus gas and electric dryers. Steam models too.

Common problems:
  • E11: slow fill
  • E21: slow drain, water left in the drum
  • E41, or a door that won't lock or unlock
  • Shaking or walking on spin
  • Musty smell, mold on the door gasket
  • Dryer runs but stays cold, or takes two cycles
Washer smells? Then water's sitting somewhere it shouldn't. Check the fold of the door gasket, the pump filter, and whether the drain hose got shoved way down the standpipe. Leave the door open a crack between loads. Sounds dumb. Works.

Electrolux Wall Oven and Range Repair

Electrolux wall oven and range repair
Single and double wall ovens. Gas, electric and induction ranges. Cooktops, warming drawers.

Common problems:
  • F10: oven running too hot
  • F30: temperature sensor circuit open
  • Slow to preheat, or way off temperature
  • Convection fan noisy or not turning
  • Door stuck locked after self-clean
  • Induction zone not seeing the pan
One safety thing. F10 on the display and the oven still heating after you hit Cancel? Flip the breaker. That usually means a relay on the control board stuck closed, and the oven has no way to shut itself off.

Electrolux Dishwasher Repair

Electrolux dishwasher repair
Built-in Electrolux dishwashers, older ICON models included.

Common problems:
  • i10: low fill
  • i20: filter clogged or drain restricted
  • i30: water in the base pan
  • Dishes dirty or gritty
  • Not drying
  • Door won't latch
i30 means water got into the base pan, a float tripped, and everything shut down. Could be a dripping inlet valve fitting. Could be a dishwasher that isn't level. We find where the water's coming from first, because resetting it without that just buys you another i30.

What the $65 Electrolux Diagnostic Includes

Electrolux appliance diagnostic in Los Angeles
The diagnostic visit is $65. During the visit we:
  • Read the error code, or run the service test where the model has one
  • Check fridge temperatures, fans, defrost and the ice maker
  • Check washer and dishwasher fill, drain, pumps and filters
  • Measure oven temperature against the setting
  • Test sensors, elements, igniters and door locks with a meter
  • Explain what failed and give you a written repair estimate
If you approve the repair, the $65 goes toward the total. If you decide not to repair, you pay only the diagnostic.

We won't quote a repair price over the phone. Until the part's tested, nobody actually knows what failed, and the price depends on that and on the model.

Older Electrolux Appliances: Repair or Replace?

Pumps, door locks, sensors, igniters, elements, fans, inlet valves. That's most of what fails on an Electrolux, and fixing it nearly always makes sense.

Where we'd slow down: an older fridge with a sealed-system leak, an older front-loader that wants a new motor control board, an ICON part that's out of production. We'll show you what failed and what the fix costs. Then you decide, no pressure either way.

Electrolux Repair FAQ

Is Appliance Insight an authorized Electrolux service provider?

No, we're an independent company. Electrolux and Frigidaire haven't authorized us, and we have no affiliation with them. Still covered by the Electrolux warranty? Then go through them first.

What does E21 mean on my Electrolux washer?

It means the water's draining too slowly. Before calling anyone, look behind the washer: a kinked drain hose, or one stuffed too far down the standpipe, causes this a lot. The pump filter sits behind the little door at the bottom front, so clean that too. If E21 comes right back, the pump or the wiring to it is next on our list.

My Electrolux dishwasher shows i20. What should I do?

Electrolux's manual calls i20 clogged filters or a restricted drain. Pull the filters out of the tub floor, rinse them under the tap, and wipe out the sump. Then check under the sink that the drain hose hasn't kinked. If the code keeps coming back after that, it's time for us.

How much is the diagnostic?

$65, and it comes off the bill if you go ahead with the repair. The written estimate comes before any work.

Do you repair Frigidaire too?

We do. Electrolux owns Frigidaire, and plenty of parts and designs are the same between them.

Can you repair my Electrolux the same day?

Often, yes, if you call before 11 AM. Small fixes sometimes get done on that first visit. If a part has to be ordered, we order it after the diagnostic and come back when it lands.
