Call before 11 and there's a good chance we can come that day. Common Frigidaire parts like igniters, oven sensors, drain pumps and fan motors are easy to get. If yours has to be ordered, we'll tell you how long before you agree to anything.

Frigidaire codes are pretty readable once you know them. Front-loader showing E11? It's filling too slow. E21, draining too slow. First thing we do is make sure the valves behind the machine are open all the way and the drain hose isn't kinked or full of gunk. Dishwashers have their own i-codes. i10, not enough water. i20, the drain or filter's clogged. i30, there's water sitting in the base. And on electric ranges, F30 or F31 means the board doesn't like what the oven sensor is telling it.

Fridges mostly don't do codes, so we go by what's happening. And on a Frigidaire, water under the crisper drawers usually turns out to be a frozen or plugged defrost drain. Not the water line.

Frigidaire parts don't cost much and they're everywhere. So the everyday stuff (igniters, elements, sensors, pumps, fans, defrost parts, door locks) is usually worth fixing.

The ones to think twice about are sealed-system failures on an older fridge and big drive problems on an older front-loader. Those can get close to the price of a new machine. We'll tell you what we find and what it costs, and you make the call.

Usually it's the defrost drain. It freezes up or clogs, the defrost water can't get out, and it ends up under the crisper drawers or on the floor. Look at the freezer's back wall for ice. Melting it will buy you some time, but whatever caused it (a heater, a sensor, the drain itself) has to get fixed or the ice comes right back.

E11: the washer's taking too long to fill. Make sure both water valves are open all the way. E21: it's draining too slow. Check the drain hose and the house drain first, then the washer's drain pump.
