FAQ: Appliance Repair in the San Fernando Valley

Do you cover my part of the Valley?

Yes, the whole Valley, from Studio City and Burbank in the east to West Hills and Chatsworth in the west and Sylmar in the north. Most calls placed before noon are seen within 24 hours, and many the same day.

My refrigerator can't keep up during heat waves. Is it failing?

Not necessarily. In a hot kitchen or garage, dirty condenser coils or a weak condenser fan are often the reason. Clean the coils and leave space around the refrigerator for air to move. If the fresh-food section still runs warm, have it checked: a failing fan or a defrost problem gets worse in the heat.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. California registration A 50129 (you can check it on the DCA license search), fully insured, and BBB accredited.

What brands do you repair?

All the major ones: Whirlpool, GE, Samsung, LG, Frigidaire, Maytag, KitchenAid, Bosch, Electrolux, Kenmore. Plus built-ins: Sub-Zero, Wolf, Viking, Thermador, Miele, JennAir, Fisher & Paykel and Liebherr.

What's the warranty?

183 days on parts and 183 days on labor for every completed repair. If the same problem comes back in that window, we return at no charge. Details are on our warranty page.

How much does an appliance repair visit cost in the San Fernando Valley?

The diagnostic visit is $65, and it comes off the bill if we do the repair. After the diagnosis you get an exact quote for the part and the labor, and nothing starts until you approve it.

Should I repair or replace my appliance?

A common rule: if the repair costs more than half the price of a comparable new appliance, or the machine is near the end of its normal life, replacing it usually makes more sense. Built-ins are the exception. A well-kept Sub-Zero or Wolf lasts a long time, and fixing it is almost always cheaper than replacing it and redoing the cabinetry. We'll tell you honestly which side of the line you're on.

Do you repair outdoor refrigerators and ice makers?

Yes. Outdoor units by the pool or in an outdoor kitchen work hard in Valley summers. Make sure the unit is rated for outdoor use, keep the front grille clear, and clean the condenser more often than you would indoors. If it still can't hold temperature or stops making ice, we'll find out why.

What forms of payment do you accept?

Visa, Mastercard, AmEx, debit, cash, Zelle, Venmo, Apple Pay, and checks.

How do I book a repair?

Use the form at the top of this page any time, or call (213) 761-5757 between 8 AM and 8 PM, seven days a week. Tell us the appliance, the brand and what it's doing, and we'll give you an arrival window.
