Ice maker making tiny cubes, or nothing: Up in the hills, water pressure is the first thing we check. Then the filter (when did you last change it?). Then the fill tube, which can freeze solid. If all of that's fine, the inlet valve is done. See
ice maker repair.
Sub-Zero warm on the fresh side: Pop the top grille and look at the condenser. Dusty? That's probably your answer. Clean coil and still warm means we're looking at an evaporator fan or the defrost. See
refrigerator repair.
Wolf burner keeps clicking: Did you just wipe the range down? Water in the burner does that, and it stops once it dries. If it doesn't, check the cap is sitting right. Nonstop clicking on a dry burner is a spark module going bad. See
range repair.
Wall oven takes ages to heat: Electric? Probably the bake or convection element. Gas? A weak igniter. Now and then it's the temperature sensor, which makes the oven think it's hotter than it is. See
oven repair.
Dryer takes forever: Long vent, lint stuck in every bend. We clear it and test. Still slow after that, it's the element or the gas valve coils, maybe the thermal fuse. See
dryer repair.
Panel-ready dishwasher leaking: Start with the door gasket. A cracked sump or a loose drain hose under the sink come next. Fun one: a custom wood panel heavier than the door springs were made for, so the door never quite closes. See
dishwasher repair.
